BCTA is the county's public transportation provider.
We employ approximately 90 administrative, customer service, operations and maintenance employees.

Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for compliance with all federal and state employment laws and regulations pertaining to the human resource function including, but not limited to, EEO, Drug and Alcohol, and FMLA.
Responsible for all aspects of employee recruitment, screening and hiring and associated recordkeeping and daily tracking.
Documents, reports, and monitors workers compensation claims following SAFTI policies and procedures and BCTA guidance on claims management.
Responsible for administering BCTA's benefits programs and recommending changes to improve quality, service and/or costs.
Responsible for implementing BCTA's retention and recognition program.
Utilizes Fleet Net or other human resource software to maintain and expand the H.
R.
data base and reporting capability.
Prepares and analyzes reports necessary to carry out the functions of the department and company.
Responsible for BCTA's performance appraisal process and salary administration program for employees at the 100-500 levels in the non-bargaining unit.
Responsible for the dissemination of BCTA's bargaining and non-bargaining employee handbooks including any updates based on changes in laws, regulations, the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and/or BCTA policies and procedures.
Coordinates with the finance department with changes in employee benefits, pay rates and union membership.
Responsible for first level grievances from employees in the bargaining unit.
Must maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the position.
Other activity that may be identified by the EEO Officer to advance BCTA's EEO Plan and Policy.
Position has a major role in EEO implementation.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include a minimum of a BS in Business Administration or Organizational Leadership, with a Human Resource Concentration and a minimum of three years' experience in the Human Resources field.
Knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines, federal and state employment and benefit laws.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills are required.
Ability to utilize H.
R.
software, analyze data and provide recommendations.
Must have a professional demeanor and appearance providing a positive company image to the employees and the public.
Experience in Microsoft word and excel required.
Salary Range:
$70,000 minimum plus a full range of benefits.
